What Is Voltage?

Voltage is the potential difference in electricity between two points in an electric circuit and is expressed in volts.
It is measured as the potential energy of an electric field that generates current in a conductor.

In general, voltage measurement is largely classified into two patterns.

  1. Measuring the analog output voltage from a sensor (1 to 5 V, ±10 V, etc.)
  2. Measuring the power voltage or other circuit voltage (24 VDC, 100 VAC, etc.)
