Defect detection on PET bottles
The vision system inspects the surfaces and rim of PET bottles.
The Trend Edge Stain tool generates a reference model that follows the contour of the bottle neck. Flaws along the elliptical edge deviate from the reference model and are detected as defects. Fine Color processing detects any variances in color from the bottle's surface as a stain with minimal programming.
